West Yellowstone Montana is the West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It is the most popular entrance to Yellowstone. Driving to West Yellowstone is either U.S. Hwy 20 from Idaho Falls, Idaho or Highway 191 from Bozeman, Montana. Both have airports with major airlines. the Bozeman airport is 95 miles from West Yellowstone and the Idaho Falls is 110 miles. West Yellowstone has a smaller airport a few miles out of town. There are rental cars available in West Yellowstone. The West Entrance is closed to wheeled vehicles in the winter and transporation is by either snowmobile or snowcoach.
